I handled all aspects of the fall 2013 election results on PilotOnline.com. Using python, I scraped the Virginia State Board of Election website and collected data from the AP’s election data service using the excellent python-elections module. I stored the data in JSON objects and presented the results across a variety of widgets, pages and interactive maps.
